WiLine Connectivity
AI IaaS › Connectivity for AISD-WAN

Intelligent traffic steering - for AI workloads.

App-aware routing, sub-second failover, and real-time path selection - with AI-specific logic that recognizes and prioritizes inference calls, training transfers, and LLM Gateway traffic across WiLine's hybrid fiber + fixed-wireless backbone.

Two production staff adjusting an inline vision camera above a bakery conveyor inspecting product
Inference has a deadline. App-aware routing recognises the call and puts it on the best path available at that moment - not on whichever link happens to be default.
Two colleagues reviewing drawings at a desk while an AI assistant device sits alongside their workstation
The model answer arrives inside somebody's workflow. Legacy SD-WAN sees generic HTTPS; DPI recognises the AI API pattern and routes it on best-path logic instead.
The problem & the fix
Problem
LLM API calls are latency-sensitive but legacy SD-WAN treats them like any other HTTPS traffic.
WiLine's fix
DPI recognizes AI API patterns (OpenAI, Anthropic, WiLine LLM Gateway) and routes on best-path logic. Inference latency stays predictable.
Problem
AI model uploads and training transfers hog the WAN at the worst moments.
WiLine's fix
Application-aware shaping. AI batch transfers move when bandwidth is available; real-time inference always gets priority.
Problem
Your edge sites can't run AI workloads because fiber hasn't arrived.
WiLine's fix
SD-WAN overlays run over rooftop wireless or 5G. Deploy full AI-aware edge networking in days.
Two service technicians working inside an equipment cabinet in a workshop while a remote specialist advises on a screen
Sub-second failover is only worth having if nobody notices it: sessions are preserved across a circuit failure, so the call and the transfer carry on.
Key benefits
Sub-second failover

Tunnels monitored continuously for latency, jitter, and loss. Reroute happens before the call drops.

App-aware routing

Real-time DPI recognizes Microsoft 365, Teams, Zoom, and custom apps - routes each on the best path.

Runs on our hybrid backbone

Fiber and rooftop wireless treated equally. Multipath from day one.

Security at the edge

DNS filtering, malware detection, TLS inspection, and content control - available on every CPE.

Cloud-first design

Direct paths to major SaaS and hyperscalers. No more backhauling to a central data center.

Bring your own hardware

Use WiLine's native SD-WAN or integrate Fortinet, VeloCloud, or your existing stack.

Audit, overlay, deploy - then the part most vendors skip: policy is tuned around how the business actually runs, and retuned as that changes.
How it works
01
Audit the WAN

We inventory sites, apps, and carrier paths. Define latency and failover requirements per location.

02
Overlay design

Tunnels, path policies, QoS, and app-routing rules mapped across sites.

03
Deploy in days

Rooftop wireless speeds rollout. Typical multi-site cutover inside a month.

04
Operate and tune

Monitor health per tunnel, per app, per site. Tune policies without vendor tickets.

Use cases
Multi-site AI enterprise

Route AI traffic - inference, training, telemetry - with real-time path steering across dozens or hundreds of sites. One policy plane, sub-second failover.

AI + edge compute integration

Stream model updates, inference jobs, and telemetry between edge nodes and WiLine AI Edge Zones with low jitter and secure routing.

Temporary AI deployments

Deploy AI-aware SD-WAN in days via rooftop wireless or 5G. Ideal for events, field sites, and pop-ups with compute needs.

Two network architects planning segmentation on a large layout board with a policy dashboard open on a laptop beside them
Policy begins with the WAN, not with an appliance added afterwards: segmentation, inspection and access rules are designed into the overlay and enforced at the edge.
Security & compliance

Secure by default

WiLine SD-WAN includes edge-layer security features that most vendors sell separately. For full SASE - ZTNA, CASB, SWG - the Cybersecurity suite extends directly off your SD-WAN.

See the Cybersecurity & Compliance suite
  • DNS filtering, malware detection, TLS inspection, and content control at every CPE.
  • Encrypted tunnels across every path, fiber and wireless alike.
  • Policy enforcement before traffic leaves the site - no cloud backhaul required.
  • Optional ZTNA, CASB, and SWG via the Cybersecurity suite for full SASE coverage.
FAQ
Do I need to buy SD-WAN separately?
No. WiLine offers native SD-WAN as part of the managed edge. You can also bring your own (Fortinet, VeloCloud) if preferred.
How fast does failover actually happen?
Sub-second. Tunnels are monitored continuously; degradation triggers rerouting before most voice and video sessions notice.
Does this include full SASE?
Native SD-WAN includes DNS filtering, malware detection, TLS inspection, and content control. Full SASE (ZTNA, CASB, SWG) is delivered by the Cybersecurity suite and integrates directly.
Can I use SD-WAN over third-party circuits?
Yes. SD-WAN tunnels can run across WiLine DIA, third-party internet, 5G, or any combination.
